01 / The problem

What made this hard

A PSA submission costs real money and weeks of waiting, and most collectors send cards that were never going to grade well. The product had to give a trustworthy read in the seconds before someone decides to ship a card — and the site had to earn that trust before anyone uploads a photo.

02 / What we did

Four things,
on every project.

  1. Marketing site built around the objection

    The whole page answers one question — is this accurate enough to bet a submission fee on. Confidence handling, refund behaviour and the limits of the model are stated on the page rather than buried, because the audience is sceptical by default and hiding it costs conversions.

  2. Search, answer and generative engine coverage

    Structured around the queries collectors actually type — card-and-game specific pre-grading intent rather than generic "AI grading" — with schema markup, entity-clear copy and question-shaped sections so answer engines and LLM assistants can quote the page directly.

  3. The product itself

    Photo intake for front and back, a grading pipeline returning subgrades with a confidence figure, shareable public report URLs that double as listing proof, bulk mode for people working through a box, and a collection dashboard.

  4. Backend and hosting

    Credit ledger and pay-as-you-go billing, image storage and processing, automatic refunds when model confidence falls below the published threshold, plus the deploy pipeline, domains and monitoring.
