What made this hard

The product only works if it is beautiful and effortless — the whole value is in a moment someone films and shares. That put the bar on motion design and first-run experience far higher than on features, and required a monetisation point that does not interrupt the emotional part.

02 / What we did

Four things,

  1. Marketing site that is also the product demo

    The landing page shows the thing working rather than describing it, because the dodge behaviour sells itself in two seconds and no paragraph competes with that.

  2. SEO and answer engine coverage

    Built for occasion-driven search — promposal, anniversary, proposal ideas — which is highly seasonal and highly competitive. Templates double as landing surfaces so each occasion has a page worth ranking.

  3. Product build

    Eight design templates, a no-account builder with live preview, custom names, questions and photos, the runaway No button with a toggle for people who want a real answer, confetti and reaction states, and link previews personalised to the recipient.

  4. Backend and hosting

    Publishing and short-link infrastructure, dynamic link-preview image generation, one-off payments at the publish step, and open and answer notifications back to the sender.
